How to make friends with guys? Watch

I'm a fairly quiet person, so I don't have too many friends at school. However the friends I have I am very close with. I feel I can be myself around them which I really like.

I'd like to become more social and make more friends, especially with guys as I feel like they'd be fun and a nice change to my female friends.

I talk to a few guys at school, but not on a regular basis. I find I am struggling to be myself around them, so I think it is difficult for me to form proper friendships. I don't know why this is, maybe I'm not used to talking to them?

So how do I get closer with guys at my school in terms of making good friends with them?

Ask 'em if you can join in with the footy

Joking aside, just casually strike a convo with a guy that's by himself (but make it sure you're looking for a friend, so don't get too close or he'll get all confused )

It's the same with girls when you think about it - you can't approach a group or you just get laughed at :aetsch:

Do you have any interests in sports, gaming, etc? Cause that'd be a good way to start off a convo with a guy since most guys are into atleast 1 of those things.

If not, don't worry, talk to them about subjects they are doing at school, and go on from there. Just be yourself, try not to act differently or be pressured to act differently around guys.
