    Hi! I have two questions:

    1) When you receive your bachelor degree, do future universities (eg. when applying for a master) and/or employers only care about the degree classification awarded (eg. 1st, 2:1, etc), or do they also look at the detailed transcript with all the module %s listed?

The reason I ask; if I got something like 70%, 80%, 90%, 50%, and 75% in my modules, which yields an average of 73% (a first-class degree), would the 50% in that particular module not make the whole transcript look "ugly" and "devalue" my achievements to whoever who gets to see my transcript (despite the high average score)?

    2) My university automatically "drops" the worst module, meaning it will not be considered when the degree classification is calculated. Will this module appear on my transcript too?

    Depends.

Recruiters have only wanted to see my certificate, not the transcript, but in an interview I had today she also wanted to know what % I averaged overall. Not sure about your other question.

I don't know if the way your university works will be the same as how my university at undergrad works, but my experience was:

    1. I was asked to get a 2.1 or higher to secure my PhD funding. When I got my degree results, I sent the university the confirmation letter saying that I had received a first, and that was all they needed to know. I wasn't asked to show a transcript at any point. I had marks ranging from 58-80 in my final year and 48-80 throughout my degree, but it was my overall mark that mattered.

    2. I would assume as much, though my university didn't drop any modules. It won't affect your degree score which is more important, though.
