ok so I am in yr 13, and we have our exams in a few months. my attendance is around 89% at the moment because I've been ill quite a lot in the last couple of months. however this means that i am quite behind on my revision and such.

my school is quite far and small and has a tendency to put a lot unnecessary pressure on us and i find that I really don't work well at school but by the time I come home i am absolutely exhausted and have no energy to revise. but we'll be finishing the curriculum soon and it'll be just revision.

we do get a study leave but its too close to the exams and its not enough time for us to revise 2 years worth of content of our subjects in just a week or two.

i know some people are deliberately taking time off to revise for the important A level exams coming really soon. so it made me a little curious...

my question is that if someone takes time off school to revise and their attendance falls low, just before the exams, bearing in mind our uni application and references have been sent off, what consequences would there be in terms of exams, uni or court ruling and such?

    thanks in advance

I guess it really would depend on the school, my school states that if we don't have over a specific percentage they will not be entering us for the exam. I don't think it can affect your application after it has been sent off.
