In GCSEs I got 4A* and 7As but I still thought I wouldnt do well at A levels so I didnt pick what I truly wanted and picked 'easier' A levels and now I'm not enjoying them, I picked History economics and politics because I thought I would be better at them than at Biology, chemisty and psychology and I didnt know what I wanted to do, I'm not enjoying my current a levels and was wondering if I should resit the year or is there any alternative option?

Resit the year but make absolutely sure. Make sure you have a specific reason for the new choices i.e you need them for degree or career otherwise the most important aspect is getting good grades.
