    The good thing about taking a fairly broad course like Environmental Science or Geoscience (in my case) is that you can do a lot of different courses/jobs after them. I'm not dead set on volcanology, however I still have a lot of other options left open to me

    I haven't, though I shall look into them! I visited Vesuvius and Pompeii a few years ago, I remember being completely in awe of them both!
