Seriously, the politically correct, progressives, left wing call them what you will are surely suffering.

There is no other explanation for such obvious nonsense.

If they're transgender they shouldn't be giving birth… it's not manly to have a baby come out your vag1na

I remember a while back Blaire White mentioned doctors were being encouraged to use the words "birthing individual" instead of "mother". They make up like, 0.3% of the population. The hormones they go on sterilise them, so not that many would even get pregnant anyway.

Not all are MtF If a transman hasn't started hormone therapy yet, he can still get preggers.

Grow up judges, you have more things to worry about than appeasing the minority's list of 'triggered' words.

I also thought it was an abortion sensibility thing, in case the mother wanted to abort the kid before... you know, actually becoming a mother.

Having an abortion is the (usually) conscious choice to give up being a mother, though? "Expectant mother" is still acceptable and if the mother gives up expecting...I don't know, man. I don't see what's really so wrong about the current terms.

Before clicking the thread I thought maybe its a good idea incase the pregnancy fails for whatever reason, then the psychological impact may be lessened if the women aren't being referred to as mothers constantly during their pregnancy implying they will give birth no matter what. But then I clicked on the title and opened the thread to read the actual reason is offending transgender people. *sigh*

Whenever you see a strange/inflammatory headline, read the whole article and fact check. This is guidance for people working in the BMA. It has no bearing on doctors and how they refer to or talk with their patients.

It's not a ban. It's a guideline (i.e. exactly what it says on the tin: guidance, not an absolute edict), issued by a non-governmental body which has no power to make "bans" anyway.

    Hence...

"This is a guide for BMA staff and representatives aimed at promoting an inclusive workplace at the BMA. It is not workplace guidance for doctors, which is clear from the fact it does not refer to patients."

So why don't we all calm down, take a few deep breaths, and actually do some reading instead of just going into meltdown like babies?
