# Maths question help urgent watch

1. I'm trying to find f1 and f2
For resolving horizontally the equation I have got is f1cos40+f2cos30=9

And resolving vertically the equation I get is f1sin40 = f2sin30
So f1 = f2sin30/sin40
Plz help
2. (1) F1cos(40) + F2cos(30) = 9
(2) F1 = F2sin30/sin40

(2) into (1)
(F2sin30/sin40)cos(40) + F2cos(30) = 9

Solve it for F2 from there, and then sub that into (2) to get F1
3. (Original post by Darth_Narwhale)
(1) F1cos(40) + F2cos(30) = 9
(2) F1 = F2sin30/sin40

(2) into (1)
(F2sin30/sin40)cos(40) + F2cos(30) = 9

Solve it for F2 from there, and then sub that into (2) to get F1
What would I get for f2sin30/sin40.cos40?
4. First factorise
F2((sin(30)cos(40)/sin(40))+cos(30)) = 9
Remember you have a calculator, you can work out sin(40) etc using that
