Not sure about some of these, and found Hacksaw Ridge and La La Land quite hard to choose between for some of them

Short Doc and Animated Short are compete guesses. I've seen criminally few of the nominated films over the last year so a lot of these predictions are based on what I've read about the films, their impact on the media and what little I know about the Academy's voting habits.

    A few broader predictions:
*La La Land won't sweep. It will take best picture and director, deservingly so, and the majority of the technical categories it's nominated for(Arrival in Mixing and Editing are the two predictions I have the least faith in, but I genuinely believe it's deserving of at least one of those awards). I could very easily be wrong about every award that I've chosen something other than LLL for, with the exception of Best Actor- Casey Affleck is the hard stop that I don't think Gosling can beat.

*Hacksaw Ridge could be one of those films that goes down as one of the year's classics without winning a single award.

La La Land did technically get announced as Best Picture, so I'm counting that as a correct prediction :ahee:

Not the best year for me! How did you guys do?
13/24 by my count, 14 if you count Best Picture :ahee:

Glad that Hacksaw Ridge managed to pick up a win, and slightly annoyed Suicide Squad got one.

Speaking of which, any major snubs this year that anyone feels strongly about? Only a couple for me- Amy Adams should have got a Best Actress nod for either Arrival or Nocturnal Animals, she was excellent in both. And while I'm not surprised it got overlooked, I would have liked the see High-Rise get nominated for Production Design.
