I applied for the four year course for BSc Marketing. A requirement was needing a B in Maths at GCSE, however, I had only obtained a C. I do a qualification, AQA Level 3 Mathematical Studies which serves as a substitute, where Southampton want a C or above. But, I'm predicted a D. I didn't take the course seriously as I planned to drop the subject until Southampton responded to my inquiry confirming they accept the subject as an alternative, four days prior to doing terrible in the exam which influenced my predicted grade. I know with the revision rate that I am currently at, I could achieve a C or even higher.

Another note, is it possible to ring up UCAS and Southampton and inform them that my teachers are willing to change my predicted grade to a C, though it's been 18 days since I've sent off my application? But if I do not do this, will I get rejected? Are Southampton lenient with this stuff because I know for fact that I'll at least be achieving or exceeding their BTEC requirement grade, a Distinction Distinction Distinction?

Would appreciate and be really grateful for a response regarding this.
