Just doing some research for my A Level film studies project, and have decided to study the way 21st Century Psychological Thrillers are represented. I'm studying 'A Beautiful Mind', 'Identity' and 'Inception'. Can you guys think of any key conventions/themes of 21st century psychological thrillers?

I'm not totally sure but I would say there tends to be a ‘twist’ which destroys what the audience believes to be true. Hope that helps a bit

Yeah, I kind of agree with that, but also think psych thrillers play with the audience's mind throughout. Usually a key character has some psychological weakness as well.
