I am currently at sixth form doing my a levels. I failed maths at GCSE and have meant to be going to lessons(which I haven't due to circumstances) to resit for the third time. I don't want to resit as I just want to pass my a levels as I am behind. Is it a legal requirement to resit them?

I think every child needs a GCSE in English and Maths, not completely sure :/

But it's a pretty essential subject to have in your qualification portfolio - you may be disadvantaged later in life, especially since in Year 13, you'll have to state ALL of your grades since GCSE when applying to Uni.

Try and attend catch-up lessons. It'll all be worth it in the end
