Im thinking of quitting it, just to see how it would affect me, im thinking my thoughts would be less 'erotic'.

But yeah sometimes I find it really boring and it takes a while to find a decent video. But i'll still fap.

Last year I quit watching porn and masturbating for about 8 months. I totally wasn't into anything sexual at all the whole of that time. Then I was watching it again for a few weeks but really wan't to drop it for good. Think it's been about 3 weeks now that I haven't watched or done anything.

Do you mean quit masturbating to porn or just looking at porn period? I don't masturbate anymore because I wanted to last longer in bed and not have erectile dysfunction or "death grip" and become desensitized to sexual stimuli. Basically I didn't want to "spoil" myself before actually having sex with someone. I've had my fill. But at the same time, I still come across pornographic pictures. It's not like I deliberately seek them out, it's just that a lot of websites I use are NSFW without being strictly pornographic (like Tumblr).

I have stopped using porn for about 2 and a half weeks now. Yes it takes far more effort to use your imagination to get in the mood but the research that has been done into how regular porn use affects your real sex drive with actual partners as well as your sex psychology is too well documented to ignore. Just look into the subject, its actually quite scary. Also since stopping porn use I have found that instead of feeling the urge to masturbate 1-2 times a night, now its more like once every 2-3 nights. I certainly don't plan on going back to it any time soon. I initially made the choice for reasons mentioned above as well as I was concerned about not wanting to be under stimulated by normal sexual activity and eg.suffer issues like "floppyness" due to insufficient stimulation in the event of actual sex due to being too used to the level of stimulation porn provides

I suggest watching your brain on porn ted talks and various similar resources. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSF82AwSDiU

I found reddit no fap as I too became bored of the standard material. I progressed onto material which I felt uncomfortable with and had to put an end to it. I've been on no fap for 1.5 years now - I haven't been clean for whole 1.5. years but I've been on several long streaks. Once on the streaks I feel more motivated to go to gym, socialise, study etc. The biggest benefit is that I no longer feel that sense of guilt nor total loser each night because if you step back and look at porn and masturbating it really is pathetic lol.

Porn is wreaking havoc on many young boys and men. Studies have come to light highlighting this.

Not to mention that the majority of women in porn that suffer from it and the massive misogyny underpinning it (i.e. young boys seeing girls slapped and gagging and anally abused and believing that is what sex with girls will be like).

Porn is the new drug, I believe it is very harmful, especially in nowadays society. Here is the place to go to find out more http://fightthenewdrug.org/ Very useful website. If people would know the effects, they would be a lot more careful. It does affect peoples lives massively!

Actually, after a while your thoughts will become more erotic as you train yourself out of relying on external stimuli/
