So I have been single all my life and I am in my early 20s.

I used to be shy of girls so I never had balls to ask them out. I also went to an all-boys school until the age of 18 which doesn't help either. I then went to uni but that uni was bare anti-social and dead.

Now, I am working and well I looked around for women. There are admittedly some nice girls working in my department and I recall rapping at a meeting in front of everyone. The girls at my workplace so far are shy so it is hard for me to tell if they fancy me or not - but when a friend of mine (he has been there for over a year) asked this girl what she thought about my rap - she smiled and said it was good.

I was just wondering what are the signs if a girl really likes you?

I think if you keep trying to work out signs then you're wasting your time. I'm no expert in getting a girlfriend but you do need to talk to them and initiate some sort of conversation with them, even if it it small talk. Then build up eventually when you get to know them more (E.g. by flirting). Unfortunately just standing on the sidelines and watching them isn't going to achieve much.

There are no signs. If you bond with her then ask her out and she says yes with a smile, and at the end of that date you keep in touch and keep meeting up, that's pretty much it.

Fair enough. But like how and where do you get a girlfriend? The girls at my workplace are slightly older than me and well I don't want to come across as rude or offensive but I am only willing to date people of my ethnicity. I don't mind talking to girls of any colour as a whole but dating wise - I am a bit picky
