Should I retake triple Science GCSEs after A levels? Watch

Hey, just a quick query; would it be a good idea for myself, whom achieve Cs in Core & Add. Science to retake them after A levels along with going Further Add. Science with them?

    These would overall improve my pretty poor-average GCSEs, A*, 3As, 2Bs, 2Cs, L1D. I'm retaking Maths later this year, a subject I currently have a B in.

I want to go to a Cambridge College to study Law; obviously this is a very competitive course, and retaking a couple of GCSEs in the gap year I am planning on taking sounds like a good idea to me.

    Thoughts?

Are you taking the gap year just to do this? Are the GCSEs an entry requirement? How will your application be viewed if you don't retake? If you have the time and money to do it then go for it but these are important questions to ask yourself if you don't.

I'm taking the gap year to gain experience and to build up my acedemic portfolio do that I stand a decent chance at entry at Cambridge. No, they are not an entry requirement granted, and I can't speak for how my application will be viewed, negatively most likely considering the fact that currently my GCSEs are sub-standard. All in all, I think an additional 3 A/A*s would boost my acedmix portfolio immensely.

You can find out how your application will be viewed by emailing the uni and asking. Don't assume anything especially since most unis are more worried about your A levels than your GCSEs.
