Does anyone else have overly pushy parents when it comes to studying? My parents are really hard on me and it's driving me nuts! And I don't know what to do??

Over the years I've gotten mostly As, in GCSE I got 9As and 1B. I've just done my a level prelims (mock exam) and got 3Cs. I know this isn't the best but I'm working hard to get at least 3Bs if not 3As. However my parents are still being overly pushy. They expect me to study all day everyday and do 4 hours a day. I agree 4 hours sounds reasonable, but some days I want to just take a break, relax and hang out with friends and I'm not allowed.

This Saturday my friends having a birthday and I want to go for lunch and spend the evening at her house but I'm not allowed. It's 4 months until my exam (which I know isn't long) but it's ONE day off. They've been like this for the past 3 years since my GCSEs. And it's like I'm not allowed a single moment to relax. If they see me slacking off then they will yell so bad. If I take too long in the shower, I get told off as I should be "studying" (and I'm never more than 30 mins in the shower).

This is making me really really frustrated and stressed out! I think they are adding to my stress and no matter how much I try to talk to them about it, they won't listen. Every moment they have, they will lecture me about my studies. It's getting very tiring and I'm so stressed because of them!!

Has anyone ever had parents like this? How did you cope with them? Make them listen? I can't take it and in fact it's making me not want to work cause I just feel so overwhelmed with stress!

    I RELATE.
No, but seriously, I don't go out, I don't socialise and I don't do anything because of school. They won't let me and it's kinda painful.
I'm currently in Year 11 and I didn't do my best in my mocks, though it wasn't too bad: 1 A*, 4As, 1B and 2Cs.

That's good! I did way better than most of my friends and they're allowed out and it's really really starting to get on my last nerve. I feel like I'm about this close to snapping and giving up on all my exams because of them.

Do exercises but you need to be using your initiative a lot more than just doing a high workload to come up with solutions to problems. If they say study loads find a way to manage it so you get the best studying and if they confiscate stuff maybe try and get a job for an excuse to nit spend so much time doing that. You shouldn't need to do that much now just repetition of different problem sets to gain experience.
