you get about 50+ lines i think? 500 words or something like that i think. i was well over and i was forced to cut down. if you're applying online then it'll tell you how much you are over. it tends to work in lines though- i was over by about 14

Its approx 47 lines with 1.25cm margins and size 12 font. That's probably the minimum - you may be able to squeeze a wee bit more in, but spaces between paragraphs is always a sign of class and conciseness in a PS.

spaces between paragraphs say "I have nothing to say about myself". I would go for filling the whole space. Also when you're putting it into the computer thing watch out for widows (single word on a line at the end of a paragraph) because if you get rid of these you can fit more words in.

I think you should leave lines in between paragraphs... That makes it a lot easier and nicer to read, at the end, think of the poor admissions tutors who read hundreds of ps's, they don't want block text all the way Also helps you to structure it. It's not a waste of space, you still have loads.

If you can get the rest in fairly full lines (not just the odd word or two), then a space between paragraphs makes it look more classy.
