    Ideally 5 GCSE's
The key ones are Maths and English, so you would have one of them.
If that's all you have and you have left school, then you should go to college and get functional maths, which is free to study.

You can get jobs like cleaner or shop assistant, but even some of those might require English and Maths. Have a look at job adverts. Alternatively you ccould do an apprenticeship and they might not require any qualification. Talk to national careers.

Ideally its better to get qualifications even if they arent GCSE's or A levels. Most professions enable you to study or get starter NVQ cerificates in a wide varierty of firlds online or by going to college, so theres no need to give up on yourself with dead end jobs.

They are more useful than no qualifications, but even better would be if you could get maths as well. A job with those qualifications would still be skills based, but English, Maths and Business would give an employer some confidence you would get the basics of office or business work.

The trick to getting a job would be to build up experience, by actually doing things, whether they are informal, clubs, societies, sports, etc, volunteering, part-time work etc. You need to build up a portfolio of evidence that you have the core skills like hard work, time-keeping, reliability etc and then specific skills like operating a till, handling money, re-stocking shelves, cleaning etc.

You need to write effective applications that don't just talk generally about you as a person, but focus on the things the employer will really want to know about your relevant skills.

Then you need to get a network going, and make sure everyone you know knows you are looking for work. Tell them enough times and they'll remember and think of you if they hear of any opportunities.

Are your only qualifications these, i.e. a C in these two GCSEs? If so, it's going to be tough without a C at GCSE Mathematics or an equivalent. Take the very good advice from threeportdrift. I thought that you had to retake Maths until you got a C grade in it now, anyway?
