    Hello,

I have been invited to an interview of the MRC-DTP scheme related to global health research. I was curious as to whether anyone on here had experience with this interview and know some of the questions they tend to ask. I know they will ask a lot about my previous projects etc. but I know a lot of questions will be directed at global health which is where I feel I will struggle and so any help or experiences people have had that they can offer would be a great help.

My interview is on Thursday and I am honestly bricking it just seems like they could ask absolutely anything.

No one can tell you interview questions but be prepared to talk about your past work and how it fits with the project, why you, why this phd, why this uni and dept, why a phd and your career plans.

I would also be prepared to answer questions about very specific details about your project, i.e. what type of concentrations you've used, what type of medium, etc. Don't stress about it, I just had an MRC DTP interview for Cambridge and they were very friendly and trying to get me at my best. Also, if you are applying for a specific project, be ready to answer questions such as why this project, what are some difficulties you might encounter, and what is the technique you are most fascinated about learning. Good luck!
