so I got an email from Southampton today saying:

"Thank you for your application to study at the University of Southampton.
We note from your application that you have declared a disability."

Now, I don't remember declaring any sort of disability on my UCAS application (I don't have one) so I went to check my application and in the further detail section I found that I made a mistake:
Disability category You have a disability, impairment or medical condition that is not listed above

Should I email/phone Southampton as soon as possible to rectify this misunderstanding? Also could this potentially affect my offer (i.e. have it withdrawn)?

Just let them know it's a mixup (and inform your other choices too). Universities use that field to plug applicants into disability support services early (so if you don't need those services let them know ASAP to save wasting time).

    It wont affect your application.

It's not severe at all. Just call and correct it. Change it on UCAS too.

No it won't affect your offer. Loads of people make mistakes every year

Thanks so much for replying! That's exactly what the email was above, I'll send them an email back saying it was a mixup. I was just scared I'd got an offer from a disability quota they had to fill which I wasn't aware of :O

Thanks for answering. I'm sending an email to Southampton right now and I'll phone UCAS in the morning as it can't be changed manually on the site.
