I'd like to apply for English at top Unis like Oxford, Bristol, Exeter etc.

So far, I'm certain on: English Literature
    Religious Studies
Trying to decide on 3rd and 4th out of Geography, Politics, Psychology, English Language.

I didn't take a modern language to GCSE and I really hate History, I can't stand it. These are both subjects which Oxford say are "helpful" for their English degree....

    :/

    help please...

Personally, I'd go for Politics as the third. Another essay-based subject is always useful, especially if you're considering Oxbridge: as you'd write essays much more frequently in the tutorial system, it'd show that you can cope with a high workload.

The fourth doesn't matter so much, as entry is generally based on three A-levels. Choose what you're most likely to enjoy and do well in. I'd choose English Language, but YMMV.
