Hello, I'm trying to write a piece of creative writing with the task: 'Write about a childhood memory. It can be real or imagined'

I made up a story of my parents taking 'me' to the park, and going to my favourite spot in the park, the swing.

This is what I've got so far: (Please suggest/improve things)

The soft, cool air brushed my face as I sat tall on dad’s shoulders. The sweet smell of the strawberry ice cream pervaded the air around me. White marble clouds drift on blue satin; slow and peaceful clouds. I stared up at the alluring blossom trees, its petals fall, like confetti on the grass. The sun was a glowing medallion in the sky.
I clutched mom’s hand, clasped it tightly, like Siamese twins conjoined at the wrist. The entire meadow was glowing under the sun’s morning warmth and the dew was still plainly visible on all the blades of grass nearby. Unlike at home, where the grass grew in tussocks and flattened in waves with each gust of wind. Here, it was calmer. It was peaceful. It was silent.

I want to describe the swing without revealing what it is. Can anyone help?

    Thank you,
    Simron
