Size: 20.1 KB Hi, for this question I understand that a hydroxynitrile will form but the mark scheme also mentions the formation of water. Where does that come from?

    Thanks

This is just the new ocr exam style question on a specific topic, in this case carbonyls. Maybe this is just a mistake in the mark scheme, I am guessing since this is the first part of the question too...

To be fair, OCR's new textbook and practise papers have sooooo many errors in it. Not surprised if you're finding errors in a paper, to be honest.
