This is what I think I want to do.

How do I do this, baring in mind I've just left Sixth Form (In which I got a D in Media Studies) and didn't go to University.

You start off by getting any job you can in the industry - runner is common way in - and then you work your way up as best you can, taking opportunities as they arise, for the next 20 or so years. There is no formal route, you have to piece it together by yourself, using your talent.

    Nice, thanks.

Got any tips about how to get a job in the industry? I've applied to runner jobs, but don't seem to get them and seem to keep running out of ways to get more opportunities.

Maybe start a YouTube channel and start by making short films on there. Even on a very small budget it gives you experience and over time you will build up an audience. This will make you stand out to future employers. As well as this YouTube does pay as you get more subscribers. I would start by watching some YouTube filmmakers such as Bertie Gilbert to see whether it is right for you.
