Who would have thought that a good university in the capital of the country would be the "most international".

Honestly it's hardly suprising. Bit of clickbait tbh.

Ok. So what are the major year-on-year ranking changes? Especially UK, US?

    (I don't have a THE sub so can't check.)
Massive changes. The Top 2 dropped off, for example. UK universities all climbed up quickly.

This is because they added "international reputation" (25%) to weed out all the random universities no-one knows about and excluded universities that are not Top 500 on the main table.

    4. Imperial
    5. KCL
    6. UCL

Baty has predicted that major changes to the global movement of talented students
lot of talk about doing it for the talented students in there... not much talk about milking the fee money from mediocre ones with rich daddies.

I agree, but if it's gonna make money, surely it should do it honestly? Surely they should do it without obvious clickbait titles that are completely misleading under the guise of an informative honest post. It's poor tactics and it seriously doesn't appeal to their userbase.
Really, is there any doubt in your mind that this is paid content?
Paid by whom? Imperial? They get a couple of mentions and no quotes. If I was paying for content I'd expect more than that...

I applied to Oxford (rejection), UCL, St Andrews, Exeter, and Manchester
I honestly never wanted to apply for Oxbridge after seeing the ridiculous number of smart hardworking people they have rejected; and the girl who went to Cambridge for Medicine from our school disliked the course.

Not surprised, Imperial college is highly specialised in STEM and STEM is the future.

"The data in Times Higher Education ranking of The World’s Most International Universities 2017 ....... Taking into account a university’s proportions of international students, international staff and journal publications with at least one international co‐author."

And none of this will make any difference at all to the average undergraduate.
I've thought similar things about other metrics league tables use, like research output.

That's good honestly, if you don't want to apply to Oxbridge it's ok not to! I feel like too many people are forced to apply to Oxbridge by family and social pressures. Yeah some of the course structures in Oxbridge may not be for everyone

Wow I wonder how much TSR was paid for this one?
    Zero.

We always report on league tables.

    Hope that answers your question

And paid for content is clearing labelled as sponsored content within the article or elsewhere.

So yes we've been honest, we've reported on the press release we were sent. Imperial in this particular ranking is ahead of Oxbridge so the title was 'true'.

Here's some of the other articles we've written for the community in the last couple of years - none of them are paid for content

It's still a clickbait article. You might not make money of this one, but then you can use it as an example to show would-be universities to see how many gullible clicks they can get if they pay you. It's a shoddy business practice. This place is worse than buzzfeed.
