Work placement

I am supposed to apply for a work placement but am not sure how you refer to the "work placement" itself

Can I head the letter with "Request for Work Placement"? and write:

"My school would like me to spend one week in a work placement from the 17th to the 21st July 2017"

or should I say "...a work placement programme..." , or something similar?

Maybe "...find a work placement during the week...." would be better?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am interested in doing a 1 week work placement as part of my Year 10 studies. This would be for the 17th to the 21st of July. I am interested in (company name) because ....
