Resources for exam technique? watch

1. I feel like I'm alright for knowledge, I just need to know proper exam technique. For example, exactly what would I have to say for a 2 mark question versus a 3 mark question?
2. Also, for 12 mark essays for example, I'd have to have 6 evaluation (A03) points, yes?

What constitutes an A03 point? For example, if I said

"the study was a lab experiment, there was high control of variables and so we can see there was a clear link between the IV and the DV, therefore causality can be established".

Is that one A03 point? Or does this count as a few points?

Never say 'there was a clear link', way over exaggeration and something you can't conclude!

Thank you, noted. So is that one AO3 point?

Not really. You're making a general comment rather than an evaluation.

If I wanted to say that research into this area used lab experiments, and so there was high control of variables and therefore cause and effect could be seen, as an evaluative point, how would I structure it to make one AO3 point?

You could compare those concepts in lab experiments to say, case studies or something.

Would all AO3 points require a comparison?

Would all AO3 points require a comparison?
Not necessarily, but I think it shows the ability to contrast and compare.
