The results stats are published by examiners and give a good indication of the small numbers that attempt and succeed at it.
In June 2016 Edexcel awarded 76 A levels in Additional Further Maths, the pass rate was 97.4%
This compared to 7,932 (97.7% of candidates) for further maths and 44,451 (96.8% of candidates) for maths.

Do you know about the number of people getting A* in AFM? 'Cos I'm doing AFM this year, but not sure how competitive other entrants are........ I want to get an A* anyway.

    Apologies
I was looking at the wrong PDF on my phone yesterday (the results were for AS). I have corrected the A level numbers in the post above.
From last years statistics, A* was awarded to 45 of the 78 candidates who sat AFM (57.7%)

Previous year grade statistics can be found in the Support area of the Edexcel web site.
