Okay so I have finished my A-Levels with the grades ABB and I'm currently studying on an art foundation course. BUT I want to quit and go travelling for a couple months instead and then work in summer. I have applied to do animation at degree and have my interviews coming up in Feb although they usually require that I pass foundation to prevent people from dropping out and doing nothing. SO is it likely I can get an unconditional offer and go travelling instead?? HELP

Ring the university up and ask them - if you explain your plans for what you'll do instead of your Foundation Diploma then they might be willing to make your offer unconditional.

Alternatively if they're not willing then speak to your foundation diploma tutors about what is required to complete/pass the course. It might be that you can accelerate the last term or pass without submitting some work.

I wouldn't mention it in the interview - that's generally with academic/course staff and quite often they don't make assessments about *what* offer you got (just decide whether or not you have the artistic ability they're looking for). Qualifications etc and offers will be managed by the admissions team.

Have your interviews, see what offers come through. If any are conditional on finishing foundation then ring the admissions team for that university and explain that you're considering leaving your foundation and ask whether they could revise your offer based on your earlier A level results.
