If someone purchases a laptop from a shop for business use and pays for it then receive's a receipt with “In respect of defective products, the liability shall be limited to £100.” and it also displays on the notice on a desk. A few days later the laptop bursts into flames while charging causing damage to the shop of about £10,000.
I have applied a few case laws but unsure about UCTA.
The UCTA Reasonable test applies but I'm not quite sure which sections of the UCTA.
