Between the period of Hitler's appointment as Chancellor on 30th January 1933 to the army's oath of allegiance following Hindenburg's death in August 1934.Personally I'm torn between the Reichstag fire, the Night of the Long Knives and the actual appointment of Hitler as Chancellor!

Personally, I would go with the Enabling Law of March 1933. The new law gave Hitler, then a chancellor, the power to rule by decree rather than the Constitution. Technically, it allowed Hitler to bypass President Hindenburg, the Reichstag, and the Constitution and rule arbitrarily without restraint or opposition. Anyway, this is debatable.
