So my family seem to think that one can get sponsorship for uni just by sending a letter to a firm and offering to work for their company afterwards. My dad says "why not see if there re my investment banking firms who would sponsor you to do your degree?" However, is this possible or likely? Personally, I think that if companies were to sponsor people, they would advertise it. Also with investment banking I imagine it's too competitive for that. Plus, anytime I spend hunting for scholarships is time better spent revising. Not that I need the scholarship particularly , but extra money wouldn't go amiss. Thanks for your reply in advance. Jonathan.

If you dont ask you dont get.

Ask yourself why would they want to sponsor you though, especially if its a good firm. It probabaly has graduates beating down its doors.

Are you utterly exceptional? How much would you be expecting? Some companies do sponsor people but its rare imo. There are also other scholarships available from your uni and local charitable trusts.

Ask princepieman about IB sponsorship. the rcuriters I know tend to sponsor at uni and beyond..
