Anyone about to sit History? Cambridge.
I'm confused about people sitting history this afternoon as I did it this morning regardless, hope it goes/went well (to you and previous commenter)! X

I talked about the alliteration of morphing magicians and its contrast with the sibilance in "softly, carefully stroking, smoothly" swell as the "excruciating" stickers and the hyperbole
that's so good! and i rly hope grade boundaries are low. x

Just finished sitting it. Nothing on gulf war smh. What depth study did you do and what topics were on your paper? Wondering if they were the same thing. Highly doubt it though.

Didn't see all the topics but the ones I did from core content were League of Nations and Road to War, noticed there was no Cold War at all.... Depth study Germany. It was 0470/12 if that helps. Hope yours went well

The English Language exam was extremely hard for me. Man, as someone who had a high chance of passing, this has gone down the drain because of stupid parrots and someone who spells "Harold" as "Harrold"

    RIP.

I did the 0500 English language P22 and damn the text was pretty confusing. It was more like a creative writing thing where we had to make up stuff. The 3 points were so broad as well wtf.

    I thought it was 40%? (20% speaking listening + 20% coursework?)

idk aha I do coursework so 3 essays and our total for that is 50. And then we do one paper which is also out of 50. We were told our coursework is 50% of our grade, which I'm really hoping it is as that's the only thing that will save me!

Yep - that's correct. Without the speaking and listening we reckon that the board may lower the grade boundaries anyway. They kept them high as everyone passed with their speaking exam pushing them up. Without this - it will be fairer and they may lower it. Let's hope. 32/50 is normally an A in the exam but they definitely move this around accroding to the difficulty of the paper. Maybe the A will be 15/50...!!.
