I really really like this boy and we have been speaking and seeing each other for a while and I want to take it a step further. I dropped a lot of hints and expected him to ask me out. He didn't and I waited before plucking the courage to ask him if he would like to be relationship.

We talked back and fourth about it and he basically he said he can't because he has 'deep-rooted psychological beyond my understanding'

What do you think this means?

That he wants you to enroll him in an english course?
Sorry, I had to say that. But either that is just an excuse to keep you away, or he does actually have some kind of problem.

Sounds like an excuse to not be with you. Move on to the next one.

Usually people that aren't weird af won't say "beyond your understanding", they'll either just leave it at "mental issues" or name an actual condition.

The only people I know of who've ever said something along the lines of "you won't be able to understand my issues" are people who are absolute ***** due to an underlying issue they've never properly sorted out.
