HI! my name is Dheeren Panjwani and I am currently doing the irregular IB Diploma course. I say irregular because I am doing 3 Sciences instead of any humanities. My aim is to be a chemical engineer so I wanted to ask for ideas for Chemistry or Biology extended essay

I'm currently in Year 2 of IB and did my EE in chemistry since I want to be a biomedical engineer. Topic - 'Effect of temperature on vitamin C content in oranges'. To be honest, doing a chemistry EE is good enough to justify your interest in being a chem engineer although obviously something related to engineering is better. Do it in something that you're genuinely interested in as its quite a long process and getting tired of your own experiment isn't going to get you anywhere. In terms of grades, its pretty hard to score an A in chem or physics EE and easier to get an A in a bio EE. So weigh the pros and cons carefully.

    Good luck and Cheers!
