Anyone at St Catherine?

I got an offer from the Catz. From what I've read around, this college sounds like the House of Hufflepuff. LoL. (please correct me if I'm wrong).

If you have tips or insights regarding college life, accommodation, food, etc. I'd be very pleased to hear. Thanks!

Hey congrats! Sorry I dont know much about St Catz apart from the fact that its buildings are very modern and quite close to the centre. They hold loads of lecture series on IR and politics type thing too I believe.

Btw what happened to Trinity?

Try not to be too put off by the fact that it doesn't correspond to your idea of Oxfordiness (or anyone else's, really). Catz is a lovely friendly college and even the grounds are nice once you get past the initial visual shock. I've only ever been there for tutorials, though, so I can't tell you anything specific about it other than that I found it dreadful when I first saw it and that it gradually grew on me.
I wouldn't say it's terribly close to the centre, though. :confused:

Like most colleges it isn't far from the centre (a 15-minute walk, maybe), but in relative terms it's not one of the most central ones.

Nope. I had interview on Thursday. Since 2 of my friends got offer hours after their interviews, i would consider it as a bad sign....crying......

Aww it's not too bad Hobs; just turn left at St Cross, mosey along Hollywell and you're practically at the Sheldonian.

Cyclops, have you checked the St Catz thread in the Oxford colleges section of the forum? Lots of undergrad stuff but you might find something useful on food etc.

Don't get me wrong mate. I do not consider Hufflepuff to be a negative thing at all.

I wouldn't worry too much. Some people have heard a week after their interviews, so don't give up hope just yet. I had no idea people were assuming rejection because they didn't hear anything for a couple of hours...
