the latest update in Clarendon website says, four candidates (Social Science division) have received the scholarship so far and already been informed. other divisions are still silent. Wondering is any of those lucky person here. would be glad to learn their profile.
Hey neuro11,
Sadly I am not one of them - or at least the good news has not reached me yet . That said, I am eagerly awaiting the rest of the outcomes of the Clarendon competition for the Social Sciences division. And just like you I would be happy to know if anybody here has been fortunate enough to get some funding!

Exactly, it would be great to find somebody who already got the Clarendon. On the website it says one of the requirements is a high 1st class.. I wonder what they mean? like 80%? that's really tough to get from a social sciences degree (at least in the UK)....
Got an offer for msc in social science of the internet today!! Only need a 2.1 soooo excited
Congrats again. By the way mate, I heard students from Indiana University will join your classes, starting this year. This will be an interesting British/American/international class!
PS: Do you know why Indiana and not other schools?
well...given the fact that many Hogwarts scenes were filmed in Christ Church, I still think that if any college is the "traditional" Harry Potter college, that is chch, and this means we get to be the best dorm.
You guys also get Pizza Artisan right on your doorstep, lucky beggars
I felt the same as you when I was applying, but now wish that I'd chosen a grad college instead. I sometimes feel as though the undergraduates get priority in my college, so it might be nice not to have to compete with them. Less frequent formals could be a very good thing too - at least you know that they'll be a real occasion!
I've been out to Wolfson for a few social events and always really enjoyed my time there. Their bar rocks!
Well, yes, I am glad to be going to an all-graduate college. While that wasn't a priority for me, I can imagine there are quite a few benefits from it.
Ooohh, and I'm glad their bar is fun. I was beginning to get the feeling its a staid and serious college. ;-)
It's not very far at all from Wolfson to Wellington Square, you basically just walk straight down the Banbury Road for a bit - I'd say it's about a 10-15 minute walk (depending on how fast you go), and quicker if you bike.
That's a relief. I don't mind a long walk, but I can imagine not wanting to to it in winter.

Thanks :-)
what do you mean students from Indiana University? The department itself is not very British anyway. Most of the staff and students are international (which I love lol).
Please note: From the 2012/13 academic year, the OII will be running a visiting student programme. Students from the University of Indiana School of Law will therefore be attending various courses from the MSc in Social Science of the Internet in Hilary term 2013.
Did they email you or something? Or is that based on previous years?
I phoned and asked. The decisions have all been made but they need to be signed off by the Director of Graduate Studies or something, which takes time.
Just got an offer for MSc computer science. Good luck for guys who are still waiting. The offer rain is approaching..LOL.
Haha yea, I had a hard time concentrating on studying today. Every paragraph I'd look up at my screen and press f5 It's so silly.. but really getting nervous now. Offers for philosophy should be sent out before the end of this week, since the open day for accepted students is tuesday, next week (13th).

Which screen are you f5-ing? Is there a particular page you can look up the results I am not aware of? I thought they only communicate it by e-mail.
