    firstly, do you understand what the modulus sign (the two vertical lines either side of the Z) means/does?

    The Z lets you know you use the z-tables in the formula book/at the back of the textbook.

    a) the probability of |Z| being greater than a value n is equal to the probability of Z > n and -Z < -n. On the diagram this is the red lines.

    b) the probability of |Z| being less than a value n is equal to the probability of -n < Z < n. On the diagram this is the white space between -n and n

    c) ?, whatever it asks just draw a diagram and shade the area you require.

    A key point is to notice the symmetry, this will allow you to find the area of regions left of the 0 mark
