Only Christ's College regularly gives out Matriculation Offers (EE) - though other colleges may do VERY occasionally.

Kicky this year applied to Christ's and got an EEE + sit 2 AEAs offer, iirc.

They did in my year (only from Christ's, that I've heard of) but that was 5 application cycles ago now. And even if you got an EE offer, realistically you'd be expected to get AAA anyway - they'd still let you in but if you pissed about in your A-levels, you'd need to pull your socks up pretty sharpish.

Besides, getting AAA is a doddle compared with passing all your MB exemptions once you get here.

I did get an EEE offer, but I think I was expected to still get the AAA as Helena said. Apparently they're to give you time to read around the subject rather than having to memorise the syllabi (or is that syllabuses??) of the various A-levels, but I probably read that on TSR so I'm not sure how true it is! I've only ever heard of Christ's giving them out for medicine - someone else on facebook has an EEE offer also from Christ's.

I got one (EE) for CompSci at Christ's. The letter I got from Dr. Bowkett did indeed say that it was there to give us room to read around the subject!
