Not to be a downer but... that doesn't mean those people were unloved or completely alone. They could have been married for 50 years before reaching that point. They could have children/grandchildren who come to visit them every now and then. Being in a relationship now won't change whether or not you're alone at the end of your life.
I just see it as... if I never met anyone, or never had kids, then I'm worried I wouldn't have anyone to look out for me.

That's not the sole reason for a relationship, but I just wouldn't want that to happen. I hate being on my own. Even when my Mum and sister were away and I was the only one at home, it was just for 1 night and i just hated it.

    Scotty you won't die alone...

you'll meet her one day, dont go changing youself for someone- she'll pop up one day when you least expect it. You'll feel like you dont even have to try with her.

in terms of what youve said before, your confidence has improved ect, and if you really do feel like you need someone, have you tried dating sites?
or go out on social events ect, you'll meet new people and find someone?

i know many stories and my friends too have found thier current partners on dating apps?
    I guess i don't feel like I need someone.

I just want to be happy and to be able to have a laugh and to share things with someone.

I just want someone I can hold hands with, or someone to watch the stars with, or someone to walk along by the sea at sunset with, or someone to go cycling with, or someone just to be there at the end of a long day to ask me how it was, or to hug/kiss and things...
So you want somebody in your life to satisfy your needs and desires? That's not a particularly valid reason for wanting a relationship. It just sounds like you are lonely.

What do you have to offer? Can you bring excitement and fulfillment to somebody elses life?

Well, I mean like I want someone who wants to do all of that too.

I'm a nice person. I'm funny. People in work keep going on about what a "nice boyfriend" I'd make haha...

All your cringe-level activities can be fulfilled with a sexbot. The guys in Japan has made some revolutionary breakthrough when it comes to superficial satisfaction. Look 'me up. I think you'll be secretly intrigued 👻

I'm going to be frank; most guys are looking for a 10/10 and don't even look at anything else. Make friends with the girls first. I did not find my boyfriend attractive at all when I first met him, but as I began to find his personality very attractive, I soon realised he has a charming smile, despite his crooked front teeth, and I really like the nerdiness. Chances are people who are "not your type" actually are, you just need to think outside of the box.
