    Heya!

I currently hold an unconditional offer to study Economic and Social History and Politics at Glasgow, and I was wondering if I would be allowed to not take any Politics courses at the start of my time at university this coming September.

In the case that I decide it would not be ideal for me to go for Politics, would I be able to choose some other subject (in addition to the required 3rd subject)? I likewise understand the risk of not finding places on the subjects I would be after as those who apply through UCAS are prioritized.

Tl;dr I have an offer for ESH and Politics. Could I, instead of that, do ESH, Business and Psychology (given there are places on the individual courses) and not do any Politics?

All help would be greatly appreciated!

Highly unlikely. You have applied for a specific course and most unis will not allow you to just pick and choose things to do instead. You can always email and ask but I suspect the answer will be no.

I expected the UCAS application to be more of a way of securing a spot in the various courses offered at Glasgow given that at the start of the year all applicants have to choose subjects. Although it would be a relatively weird system that way.

I will send them an email. Thank you for the reply.
