Hello everyone so I have applied for Jordanstown University for a degree in Computer Science and the asking grade is ABB. Originally I was going to repeat some exams to get my grades up as I achieved BBC only 4 marks off 2 exams to reaching the ABB mark. I didn't apply for here the year prior so I don't know what the entry system is like. Unfortunately CCEA doesn't know if I'll be able to repeat if my exams have be cashed in so i may not be able to do that. So my question is if I put down jordanstown for one of my main choices could I still end up receiving an offer from them? I'm asking this because a few of my friends got in last year with grades a lot lower from the asking point being BCC and BBC. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As I understand it - it depends on how many applicants there are for the course. If it is oversubscribed you have no chance.

Try to find out if the course went into clearing last year. Your best bet is to call the department and ask.

I know my nephew was supposed to get ABB for his course ( history ) but ended up with BBC and still got an offer and is at the uni.

Since you already presumably have your grades you are at an advantage.

There were no actual places left in clearing last year because I tried to get in with that although I do have a conditional offer now so I have the same chance as everyone else whose applied.
