I'm planning to go to the University of Hertfordshire this year (2017) and commuting from home, and I was wondering if anybody else was doing the same? Would love to get to know some people (I'm a little introverted).

I'm planning to take Computer Science on the Main Campus.

If anybody has any advice on Parking and general experience, I would be incredibly grateful!

I don't even know if I want to go yet, lol

    Hi Megan,

It's great that you're planning to come to Herts

Have you visited our campus before? The University has its own bus company, UNO, so great public transport links and also a park and ride facility.

It might be worth taking a look at (or posting in) our 2017 applicant thread, there's a few computer science students on there already.

If you have any questions about the Uni or your course, just let us know!

    Thanks,
    Heather

Aw that's awesome! How do you feel about commuting? I'm not too fussed with parties and such but I'm scared I won't make friends, haha 😅

    Hey,

I'm also thinking of commuting. Though, I am planning pharmacy though!
I'm also worried about the change, students living in campuses will have a head start with socialising.

I'm planning to study Computer Science at College Lane in September also. I am more than certain that I will be commuting, though I have concerns about the social aspect if living off campus (making new friends etc.). However, it's nice to know there are others commuting! I look forward to see everyone in September :-).

As to the applicant day - I plan to go to the one on April 1st.
