    Hi all!

Not sure where exactly to post this question.

Basically I'm doing a foundation degree course where I'm in year 0. I'm wondering if I can possibly transfer to another university either at year 1 or year 2?

I know it's not exactly great to do it as I haven't had the "normal" qualifications to get onto the degree, but if I do progress onto the 1st or 2nd year would a transfer be allowed?

This is due to a long distance relationship and wanting to be closer to my boyfriend.

Please let me know. Thanks x

You mean you're doing a foundation year (a foundation degree is something quite different)?

Yes, generally you can use your foundation year to apply to other universities (effectively using the foundation year as a sort of alternative to A levels). Email the universities you're interested in, give them details on your foundation year (what modules you're taking etc) and ask if they'd consider you for admission into the first year. If you began the degree from year 1 then it wouldn't technically be a transfer.
