Aye, we need to stress the importance of fruit and vegetables early in a child's life in order to live a healthy life.

Eh, we didn't have this scheme when I was at primary school, so I am not sure of the benefits. But are we really going to be shoving more responsibility onto schools, away from parents?

Abstain. Good idea, I guess, but I am not sure.

You need data to know the positive effects of eating fruit and vegetables at an early age?

This is a really good idea. This also offers a potential solution for food waste, as supermarkets could be invited to donate or sell (with a discount) surplus fruit and veg to schools.

Yeah, I support any efforts to reduce the scourge that is childhood obesity; and nipping it in the bud by encouraging healthy eating in primaries is a good approach I think.

    Aye.

What you've done for this motion is linked one report for 2005 which says 'the scheme in its current incarnation doesn't work but if we double the amount of attention we give to it, and money we spend, it might because of [evidence???]'.
