so my gf reads me a poem every day in the evening on the phone, however i know i've read some of them on tumblr posts etc. but she tells me she has written them. However she reads them so enthusiastically/passionately, so do i confront her? or just let her read them to me regardless

Please tell her, the longer you let this go on, the more uncomfortable you will feel.
I am not here to judge her but if someone is not honest about something this simple..I wonder what else she will make up to impress you.

maybe she wrote on tumblr ?

if she is being dishonest it is best to sort things out.

She just wants your attention mate, so listen to them while your ears are plugged.

I hate to appear as a grumblr
(as well as a maladroit fumblr)
    But the passionate rhymes
    that you read me betimes
are ripped-off. Yes, I've seen 'em on tumblr

Honestly, I think you should tell her. It'll be embarrassing for her but the dishonesty is probably making you uncomfortable and that might lead to more problems further down the line. Communication is so important, even if it makes things awkward for a couple days

Amateur poets use exactly the same sentiments, rhymes, words etc.
So are you sure she is isn't writing them? Maybe they just sound the same as every other loved-up person's poems.
Think of song lyrics. Most love songs are not exactly different from each other. Or Shakespeare.

By the way, even if she is ripping them off, I wouldn't mention it.
Frankly you're really lucky having someone who thinks so much of you.
And if this is the worst thing she ever does, you're one lucky person.

(I bet she could tell you some home truths you'd rather not hear, so stay quiet and hope she does the same about your irritating traits.)

its not bc of the fact she doesn't write the, i dont mind. its the dishonesty, she has a habit of lying, even over little things and well im trying to understand her and she's trying to be more honest,

Had we but world enough and time
    to rectify this minor crime
we would sit down and thinks of ways
    to render it in paraphrase.
    You in the Roget-online
would synonyms find; my aching balls
would 'painful spheres' become. And next
we'd run results through 'test your text'
    Through letting 'thus' become 'therefore'
    we'd mitigate the matching score
by small degree the green zone nearing,
and thereby thus avoid a conduct hearing
But in my sack I always feel
the twitch that is the teenaged deal
and wonder if this fearful grief
    will find reward in hand-relief.
