I just received a letter from student finance saying that my tuition that will be paid to the university is now £6,000 rather than the original £9,000. Has anyone else gotten this or knows why it's changed? I can't afford the extra £3,000 off my own back

Which uni is this? £6000 is the maximum you can get for a course at a private uni. Could that be a factor?

You probably need to phone them on Monday. If it's a full-time course at a public uni, it could just be a mistake.
