In the OCR biology specification for 2017, cellular control, it does not mention transcription factors. It is also not in the new OCR biology textbook. (The new bio textbook refers to cellular control as Genetics of living things)

We covered transcription factors in class and i think this was unnecessary.

Can anyone confirm this.

Thank you

Transcription factors are definitely necessary for the spec, e.g in the lac operon or homeobox genes
