Sheffield is a troubled city. A lot of homelessness and poverty. It's almost entirely working class. The people are very coarse with a foul accent - the girls especially so. All of Sheffield's old buildings were destroyed in WW2, and ugly new ones took their place. Sheffield University is decent (about 20th in the League tables), but Sheffield Hallam is very bad. The decent parts of Sheffield are around Sheffield University (Crookes), and the rough parts include the lower part of the city centre where there's a lot of crime (poverty). The only decent thing about Sheffield is the train station. It has no ticket barriers, so it's very easy to hop on a train out of Sheffield for free. And I should think so too!
