I sometimes have very high-stress moments where I'm thinking "****, I could seriously use a xanax right about now" where my heart is pounding and my skin is sweating. in these situations, I usually isolate myself and just chill out to music, video games, maybe play a bit of guitar, maybe watch some youtube or a favourite film/show. if I'm desperate and it's late at night maybe I'll light one up. but generally, my solution is just to give it time and to distract myself. being around others in stressy times is usually not good for me, although sometimes it's okay.

Sometimes I go to the gym at 3/4/5 in the morning to eliminate stress that way (insomniac in case you're wondering); other times I do that just for the sake of it.

Might seem strange but it works for me on all counts.

And music can help, as can a long drive, or a long walk.

Generally just chill. Watch a funny film or series is my main way of doing so.

Been doing this quite a bit lately. I used to think "No no, just chill, you might fall asleep soon!" but it often doesn't work that way. If I'm lying there feeling awake and often start to feel a little annoyed, now I just think, well, if I go to the gym now then I'm very likely to be home in less than a couple of hours wanting to go to sleep

Lmao. I actually don't listen to classical music. :facepalm2:

I've been listening to a lot of Ludovico Einuadi (dunno what genre that is).

You should watch a series: 'Your Lie in April' - awks if you hate anime :hide:

I write. I have so many extracts from books that I want to write and publish, so I just go off into my own world and write.

If not, then I got and put on Lord of the Rings. Always Lord of the rings.
