HELP every friendship I've had has collapsed Watch

At the moment I'm a year 12 student and utterly confused. Ever since year 9 every close friend has bailed on me, for example, in year 9 my supposed best friend left me for a spot with the populars and when I connected with another girl she left me for her now ex-boyfriend. This has now happened twice this year too, with two people who I've known and been fairly good friends with since year 7 both stopped talking to me.
Bottom line - I'm a little lonely around school now and idk whether it's worth even trying to make friends anyway so any advice or help etc?

The sad part is people change throughout school time, I would forget them, they sound rather fake.

I am currently in year 11 and my best friend whom I have been with since year 7 backstabbed me half way through year 9, and the wound stayed there until late year 10 where it healed(So near summer holidays) he started being the kind friend I knew him once. I am happy that he decided to be friends with me again but I am very suspicious of him about him backtabbing me again, I never share my secrets or tricks with him. It's sad but it's a fact that people simply change overtime, the once and lovable people you knew once becoming your bloodiest enemies is your worst nightmare, it just haunts you everyday. All I can say is that with friends in high school just never ever share secrets with anyone because you simply can't trust them.
